WHAT ARE SKIN VEGETATIONS/GROWTHS?

Plasma technology delivers a high energy charge via a small handheld device, specifically targeting the skin growth.

This charge then completely flattens and removes the growth, allowing it to heal to a smoother finish.

Skin vegetations are any unwanted growths we may have anywhere on our face or body such as skin tags, moles, cherry angiomas and seborrheic keratosis.

They can often be unsightly, very uncomfortable and sometimes embarassing. Often we can catch them on clothing making them bleed and very sore.

Not all growths are malignant or dangerous and may be quickly and safely removed.  However, should you have any unwanted or unusual growth that is an odd shape or colour, bleeds, or itches, you should always seek medical advice as this may need medical intervention. If your GP advises that this growth does not require any further medical attention, then I may be able to help.

Many skin growth removal procedures are considered to be aesthetic by the medical sector, therefore I can often assist with this type of removal treatment.

What Vegetations/Growths can be Treated?

Skin Tags:

These are often caused with regular rubbing or friction and can be found on the neck (in gents or ladies that wear collared shirts,) under the bra line and under the arms (from the bra rubbing), waistline (from waistbands rubbing on the skin), and any area on the body. They can grow a few millimetres in length. These are very easily and quickly removed-it usually only takes seconds. When removed, they heal to an even surface on the skin.

Red Moles/Cherry Angiomas:

These are little spots/collections of blood vessels that appear on the skin. These are very easily removed.

Moles:

Many people have these on their face and this can really affect confidence.

Moles can be brown or flesh coloured. Whilst many are safe to be removed aesthetically, it is always advisable to check with your GP to see if they require any further investigation and require no further attention.

Seborrheic Keratosis:

These can be brown, light tan or quite dark in colour and look scaly and slightly raised and are often caused by over exposure to UV/sunlight. They are not harmful and can be removed easily.

Milia:

These are tiny white spots on the surface of the skin that and are usually

due to congested skin.

Xanthelasma:

These are yellowish plaques or bumps commonly found on eyelids. In some cases these can be a sign of high cholesterol and is worth checking with your G.P, but these can be easily removed.
