WHAT ARE SKIN BOOSTERS?
There are several brands of skin booster injectables available. I offer Profhilo, Sunekos and Jalupro.
Skin boosters are hyaluronic acid/amino acid based injectable treatments that offer hydration, glow and boost to the skin overall and can be used on the face, neck, decollete, hands.
However, my particular favourite is targeting the hollows, dark circles and crepey dehydrated skin in the under eye area. I find Jalupro wonderfully effective for treating this concern. The under eye treatment is required once per week, for 4 weeks in order to see the full result. This then requires 4 to 6 monthly top ups.
This is a quick injectable treatment with no downtime and skin boosters are often referred to as 'permanent moisturisers', delivering immediate hydration to the skin.
What is Jalupro?
Collagen is key when it comes to healthy skin. Collagen is made by our fibroblast cells. And all of this production slows down with age. Fibroblast cells need amino acids to work at their best.
Jalupro delivers amino acids DIRECTLY to the skin at the deepest levels.The amino acids specifically feed the fibroblasts, and they then produce lots of collagen for us which gives us the firm, bouncy, hydrated, strong skin we need on the outside.
The beauty of Jalupro is that we can tailor make to individual issues. We can target different areas in one treatment but in particular, we can specifically treat the crepey skin and dark circles of the under eye area.
What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is an injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity.
With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg / 2ml) it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue.
Hence it is a 'skin remodeling' treatment. Profhilo® delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments currently on offer.
Profhilo® remoulds the ageing and sagging tissue to restore firmness, texture and radiance. Lines and wrinkles become gradually less obvious and smoother.
How often do I need the treatment?
1 x treatment followed by a second treatment 28 days later is required.
8 weeks after initial treatment you will see full results.
This can last up to 6 months, whereby a further treatment twice a year is required for maintenance.
